about

I grew up in Iowa—the heart of the nation. Travel was a big part of family life, and I try to infuse my life with the same passion for adventure. I took the opportunity to study at Colby College, in upstate Maine, and the experience shapes the way I approach life.

Today I consider myself a guy who delights in creative expression through film, graffiti, photography, graphic and web design. While most of my formal education related to my philosophy major and not design, I look to my work to speak for itself and to my potential.

I work with these mediums because I love them. And that creative urge has encouraged me to create independent studies at Colby, design for campus organizations, take design classes at Boston University (Summer 2010), and even intern at Metropolis Creative, a design firm in Boston, MA. I’m always looking to cultivate my skills, expand my knowledge, explore new mediums, and try my hand at whatever needs to be done.

In addition to all this design, I love the outdoors and a host of different wilderness activities. At Colby, I sang in the choir, studied abroad twice in Ecuador and Uganda, as well as led the Outing Club (the largest student organization on campus, devoted to getting people outside.)
